Filipino Burger Steak with Mushroom Gravy

Once upon a time there was a little girl who went to the University of Santo Tomas - Kindergarten. Everyday, she passes through a fast food chain called Jollibee - McDonald's arch-nemesis of the Philippines. She always begged her mom for Jollibee's Chickenjoy and Spaghetti combo. Oh how she was such a pain in the butt, constantly pulling tantrums, not understanding how money was tight back then - she eventually grew up, and moved on to better things in life. However, her love for Jollibee still remains.

Anyway, here is my recipe of Jollibee's Burger Steak!

What you'll need:
1 Small White Onion - Chopped
3 Clove of Garlic - Chopped
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1/4 teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
 1/2 Cup of Button Mushrooms
 4 Cups of Beef Stock
3 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter
8. 1/3 of White Flour
1 Pound of Ground Beef
1 Large Egg
Vegetable Cooking Oil
1/2 Cup of Bread Crumbs

Who can seriously resist this?

1. Mix the ground beef, salt, egg, bread crumbs, and black pepper. Take a handful of ground beef and roll it into a ball. Gently press the ground beef into a patty about half an inch thick, Then let it set for a couple of minutes to keep its shape.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the pan.  Heat up the pan to medium high.
3. Once the pan is hot enough, cook up the patties until they are brown.
4, After cooking the patties, add the unsalted butter.
5. Fry the garlic then the mushrooms until fully cooked. Don't take them out of the pan because this is the part where you make the gravy :)
4. Add the flour, and beef stock. Stir until all the flour dissolves.
5, When the gravy is finally thick turn off the stove immediately.
6. Serve the Burger Steak and Mushroom Gravy with fresh warm rice.
